Coral Cliffs Elementary School

Coral Cliffs Elementary School is part of the Washington County School District. This school enrolls students in kindergarten to fifth grade, but they also manage a pre-school program. Coral Cliffs Elementary School enrolls approximately 583 students annually. They are known as the Coyotes.

Coral Cliffs Preschool Program

Due to their Title 1 status, this school provides free preschool classes for students who are one year away from entering kindergarten. In order to participate in the program, a family must submit an application and be approved. The preschool program operates two hours per day on a schedule from Monday to Thursday.

Parental Involvement

Coral Cliffs Elementary School encourages parents to volunteer and join the Parent Teacher Association. Meetings are held monthly and members of the PTA assist school officials with events, programs, and fundraisers. Student Activities

Coral Cliff Elementary School provides students with an opportunity to stay active with weekly physical education classes. These classes take place each Monday and Thursday. Students are required to wear proper athletic shoes during the class.

Each Friday, students are encouraged to wear their school shirt or school colors to celebrate School Spirit Day. Classes with a participation percentage of 75 have a chance to host the Spirit Trophy for a week. The winning class gets to add something special to the trophy that they feel is a symbol for their class. At the end of the year, the trophy is placed on display. Individual students who participate in Spirit Day have a chance to win prizes as well.

SAGE Program

This school utilizes the Student Assessment of Growth and Excellence program (SAGE). This assessment system helps school officials and parents connect and ensures that students are meeting state standards when it comes to testing. Required subjects for assessment are English language arts, science, and math.

Coral Cliffs Elementary Community Council

The community council is comprised of a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and three Council Members. The council meets throughout the year with the objectives of nurturing communication between school officials, parents, and administrators. They are responsible for developing a Professional Development Plan and a Reading Achievement Plan. They also review testing assessments, create plans for school improvement, and offer council on school issues. They act as a liaison between the community and the school.
